FAQs about the Warren County Fair
Where is the Fair located?
The Warren County Fairgrounds are located just off Hwy 92 in Indianola, Iowa. Driving directions can be found on the
Hours & Directions page. The fairgrounds address is: 1400 West 2nd Ave, Indianola, IA 50125.
What hours is the carnival open?
Wednesday: 6-10 pm
Thursday: 6-10 pm
Friday: 6-10 pm
Saturday: 1-10 pm (2 wristband sessions: 1-5 pm OR 6-10 pm)
Sunday: 1-10 pm (wristband session 1-5 pm; tickets only 6-10 pm)

Is there handicap accessible parking available during the fair?
There are many designated handicap accessible parking locations throughout the fairgrounds. Please enter the main entrance to the fairgrounds on Highway 92. This entrance will have a barricade across the driveway, as it is not open to the public. A public safety officer will check your handicap permit and direct you to a parking spot. The
Fairgrounds Map shows the various handicap parking locations throughout the fairgrounds.
We will also be having a courtesy golf cart shuttle from the parking lot to any area on the fairgrounds for those needing assistance to & from different areas. Please call the office @ 515-961-6687 to arrange a shuttle.
There is also a wheelchair available in the office during the fair.
Are pets allowed?
During the Fair, the only animals allowed on grounds are those that align with the ADA's service animal classification for animals specifically trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA and are therefore not allowed on grounds during the Fair.
Is smoking allowed on the Fairgrounds?
In accordance with the Smokefree Air Act, portions of the Fairgrounds are smoke-free. While smoking is allowed in the walkway areas of the Fairgrounds, the law applies to sections designated by no-smoking signs. In those areas, smoking of any kind is prohibited (including use of e-cigarettes). Smoke-free areas of the Fairgrounds include:
o Outdoor entertainment venues – stage areas, tents and grounds attraction areas.
o Grandstand area.
o Inside all buildings.

Is alcohol allowed on the grounds?
No alcohol is allowed on the Warren County Fairgrounds during the Fair.
If you are a VIP ticket holder for the Confederate Railroad & Shenandoah concert, alcohol will be available for purchase.
Alcohol will be available for purchase in the VIP area & in general admission (New of 2024) on Wednesday, Friday & Saturday nights.
Where are lost items claimed?
Lost and found is located in the Fair Office, east of the large show ring. During the fair, you can reach the Fair Office at 515-961-5861.

Can I bring a bag in?
In order to maintain a safe & secure environment, we have implemented a clear bag policy in the Grandstand. Guests can bring in ONE bag that follows the implemented guidelines.
Allowed bags: clear bag no larger than 12"x12"x6"
Small clutch or purse no larger than 4.5"x6.5"
One Gallon clear plastic Ziplock bag
Where can I purchase tickets for the Grandstand?
You can purchase online any time from now until the fair. Online ticket sales close 24 hours before the event. Ticket prices will remain the same for online tickets at all times.
Tickets can be purchased on the fairgrounds at the box office starting at 5 PM. The cost for tickets purchased at the box office is $5 more for adults & $3 more for kids at the box office.
